Bringing Joy Boutique is a non-profit 501(c)3.
Our mission is to bring awareness to those battling cancer and to provide patients hats to keep them warm and fashionable. Hats are provided to children and adults.
Through the sales of custom t-shirts, sweatshirts, tumblers, and other fun drinkware, we use our proceeds to make hats for cancer patients. For each item purchased, at least one hat is donated in the purchaser's name.
Many times we have been asked: 'what prompted you to start this mission?'
In 2007 my husband was diagnosed with Hodgkins Lymphona. Throughout his treatments, he was so incredibly cold. He would need hats all throughout the day, even though his treatments were occurring during the hottest time of the year.
Upon retiring from my full-time position, I realized I decided it was time to help others who were going through the same as my husband. At this time, Cappin It Designs (n/k/a Bringing Joy Boutique) was formed. As a single sewer, yet with the help of my husband and family, over 700 hats have been donated to cancer patients to date. I am beyond grateful for the support our customers have given us.
